I am James Mowery, and I am 21 years old—born January 10th, 1987. I am a technology and social media journalist. Technology is my life, and I will tell you right now, I take writing very seriously. But when I am not busy being serious or taking pictures of my giant head, I can be found talking about technology, playing awesome games, reading geeky blogs, and, of course, writing quality content somewhere on the internet.
If I had to sum myself up in one single word, I would have no issue with doing just that:
Hacker
A hacker is someone who thinks outside the box. It’s someone who discards conventional wisdom, and does something else instead. It’s someone who looks at the edge and wonders what’s beyond. It’s someone who sees a set of rules and wonders what happens if you don’t follow them. A hacker is someone who experiments with the limitations of systems for intellectual curiosity.

Just like the Iron Man movie, I should probably tell you something amazing about me before you disappear. After all, you did stick around to read the credentials—who the hell does that anymore? You deserve to know something impressive about me! My amazing factoid about myself is as follows:
I helped lead my two teammates to a first place victory in the 17th Annual Great Computer Challenging for desktop publishing at Old Dominion University back in 2002. Instead of using fancy graphics and video like most of our competition, we focused on solving the problem with great content. This is just one of the more notable moments within my rogue-like lifestyle.
